I will start with the waves. Lots of waves, some of them almost maxing out Tourmo, some decent mid sized shoulders, some tiny crappy closeouts and big messy closeouts, some catchable bombs and some little reeling peelers. Total mixed bag. Fun and frustrating. A hairball piece of cake. All of the above.

Chiming in with honorable mention was Skip Frye losing his board for only the second time ever. Jim Tilly to the rescue to paddle it back out so that everyone could continue watching mastery post haste.

But stealing the show was The Man in the Grey Suit.

I first caught wind of this as I was toweling off after my session. Irish or is it Scottish Steve and some other dude who looks like Anthony but isn't were talking about this 8-10' shark they saw, and they were kinda freaked.

After chatting with them for a bit, apparently I took my last wave right over the top of him (or her). I'll pay good money (ten dollars!) for GoPro footage...

Before long there were a dozen or so people in the parking lot with bug eyes and wild stories. Those who stayed out huddled into a tightly knit pack outside of Old Man's, finding safety in numbers I s'pose...

Oh and the afternoon session sure was fun!
