Located just inside the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge on the south side of San Francisco harbor, Fort Point is sheltered from the fierce winds that can blow out other spots on the outer Pacific coastline. It's a left break in cold water that has its share of shark sightings, so don't come expecting a NoCal Malibu and you'll do OK. When it's on it's sometimes the only game in town, so it can get crowded. Pick your spots, make some new friends, and have fun. Oh, and don't forget booties and gloves, and watch out for the rocks!
